Feeling dejected after receiving a brutal rejection, Momo Ayase’s mood lifted when she stumbled upon a boy being bullied. Ayase intervened and attempted to bond with the boy over his interest in supernatural phenomena. However, Ayase did not share the same beliefs and instead proclaimed her belief in phantoms. This sparked a heated dispute between the two.
To settle the disagreement, they agreed to venture to locations associated with their respective interests. Ayase visited the occult location while the boy explored an area associated with ghosts. To their surprise, they were both correct – the occult and ghostly entities did exist.
This occurrence triggered an expedition where Ayase and the boy strove to restore normalcy to their extraordinary and futuristic surroundings.
